Paris St Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has said that the fans can expect more from him and his teammates in the forthcoming games. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored two goals in the opening match of the season against Lorient at home. However, it was not the result PSG expected from this match after they could only draw 2-2. It required a late penalty from the former AC Milan striker in order to secure all the single point for the club, which has spent more than £ 150 million on new players in this transfer window. The arrival of players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic was expected to propel PSG to the championship.

However, the 2-2 draw with Lorient is not the ideal start to the new season, but the Swedish striker expects things only to improve in the upcoming matches. He has said that it is always extremely difficult for many new players to gel in just one match. As a result, he expects a lot of improvements from the team, as they get to play together for a lot of matches. The PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti praised the performance of the Swedish striker by saying that it is normal for top quality player like Ibrahimovic.

“It’s just the first match with a new team. There’s still plenty of time to get better organised and do well,” said Ibrahimovic after the match. “Ibrahimovic turned in a fantastic shift. We put in a better performance in the second half. Unfortunately, we lacked balance in the first period. While we displayed characther to fight back, we have to work better as a unit,” said Carlo Ancelotti after the match. PSG will be facing the likes of Bordeaux and Lille in the upcoming matches of the French Ligue 1. PSG are the overwhelming favourites to win the league title this season.
