ZlatanIbrahimovic once again showed that he is the man for the big occasions after netting twice in the thrilling 3-3 draw against rivals LAFC.

The derby tagged El Traffico has lid up to its billing in the past few games with an average of three goals in all the matches since Ibrahimovic arrived.

It was in the match last season that he announced himself to the MLS Galaxy fans with a brace that saw Galaxywin 4-3. Over the weekend Ibrahimovic was once again at his best scoring twice in the first 15 minutes.

The former Inter Milan ace opened the scoring after some good work from new signing CristianPavon. The young Argentine weaved his way past two players before sliding a through pass for Ibrahimovic who promptly slotted the ball past LAFC stopper at his near post.

Ibrahimovic second came from a long ball from the back which was deflected by an LAFC defender onto the part of the striker. He subsequently rounded the goalkeeper before slotting home to an empty net.

Pavon was also among the scorers slotting home after a mazy run to give Galaxy a 3-1 win. LAFC would later rally to draw 3-3 led by star player Carlos Vela.

Ibrahimovic had a late chance to finish the game but scruffed his shot just wide of the target. The 38-year-old continues to show his importance to the LA Galaxy as he is the man for the big occasion.

He is on track to reach the 20 goal margin again this season and has proven to be an astute signing for the club.
