The French club Paris St Germain will not be making any additions to the squad in the January transfer window according to the manager Carlo Ancelotti. The French club have been one of the biggest spenders in Europe by bringing in several high profile players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva. Despite the numerous occasions, the squad has not been able to satisfy the demands of the fans and the manager. They were expected to steamroll their opposition in the French league, but they have so far been lacklustre. This has led to rumours that they will be bringing in a few more players in order to strengthen the squad during January.

The manager Carlo Ancelotti, though, has ruled out the possibility by saying that he is happy with his squad at his disposal. One of the main additions for the club during January will be the 20-year-old Brazilian youngster Lucas, whose arrival at the club has already been confirmed. He has been signed by PSG for £ 45 million during the summer, but he will be making the transfer only when the January transfer window opens. Ancelotti has praised the 20-year-old by saying that he is a great player, who will be a valuable in addition to the squad.

“He will be the only player to arrive during the transfer window. He is young and he represents the future of the club. He has so much talent and will fit in well with the other players as he can play in several different positions. My coaching team think that the team is very good and very competitive. We have had some tough moments, but each time the team has reacted well,” said Ancelotti. Paris St Germain are currently top of the French league ahead of Lyon, but only on goal difference.
