Swedish football legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic was impressed with the start made by his AC Milan side in the quest to defend their Italian Serie A title successfully this season. Zlatan Ibrahimovic was an important figure for AC Milan as they won the league title in the Italian top flight for the first time in over a decade. Milan finished ahead of city rivals Inter Milan to win the said Italian Serie A title. Inter Milan were the defending champions before they were dethroned by Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his Milan teammates.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is presently injured as he’s recovering from a serious knee injury. To this effect, he was on the sidelines for the Italian Serie A opener for Milan this season. He was a major absentee as Milan came from a goal down to beat Udinese 4-2 at home.

AC Milan were stunned at the start of the game after Brazilian defender Rodrigo Becao scored the opening goal of the game in the second minute. The lead lasted for just nine minutes after Milan equalised through a penalty from French defender Theo Hernandez. The spot kick was awarded after Davide Calabria was fouled in the Udinese box. Calabria was a livewire for Milan in the opening exchanges and he was the provider of the second Milan goal scored by Croatian star Ante Rebic. There was just four minutes between the first two Milan goals. Adam Masina ensured that Udinese went into the break on level terms thanks to his equaliser in the fourth minute of first half added time.

In the second half, Milan scored twice through Brahim Diaz and the aforementioned Rebicto secure the win. On the win, Zlatan Ibrahimovic took to his Instagram account to share his excitement. According to him, the future is bright for AC Milan.
