Tottenham Hotspur star Heung-Min Son has drawn comparison with AC Milan legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The South Korean international was compared to Zlatan Ibrahimovic in terms of his self-confidence by former Hamburg SV of Germany teammate MladenPetric.

In a chat with The Athletic, Croatian star said Son impressed him in his first season at Hamburg as he had so much self-confidence almost like Zlatan Ibrahimovic who’s presently on the payroll of Italian Serie A holders AC Milan. According to him, the former Bayer Leverkusen attacker would tell the players in his age group that he would become one of the best players in the world.

Spurs forward Son played in Europe for the first time at Hamburg having joined the club’s academy. He rose through the ranks at the club before netting 20 times in 78 appearances. Son left Hamburg to sign for fellow German side Bayer Leverkusen.

Tottenham Hotspur made a huge transfer coup to sign Son from Leverkusen in 2015 and he has become a legend at the club with 134 goals in all competitions.

Son was the Golden Boot winner in the Premier League last season alongside Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, but the goals have not been flowing this season with just three goals in the league. He has scored in one game from eleven games in all competitions and eight games in the league. His tally of three goals came in one game, against Leicester City in the league. The South Korean star was benched for the game after failing to score in any of his first eight games in all competitions. He would come off the bench to score three times and lead Spurs to an emphatic 6-2 victory over immediate past FA Cup winners Leicester City who were at the foot of the Premier League table at the time.
