Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has claimed that he would be open to the possibility of joining Bayern Munich.

There are already a lot of transfer speculation surrounding the 33-year-old, who is one of the flag bearers for Paris St Germain. Since his move to the French capital, PSG have become a major force in world football. The presence of such an enigmatic and world-class striker alone has helped the club attract other top names like Lucas and Edinson Cavani. However, the journey with PSG may be coming to an end for Ibrahimovic, who has been in talks with AC Milan over a potential return to the San Siro.

The big Swede could possibly be looking at his final major move in his career. He has already played for a lengthy list of top clubs including Barcelona, Juventus, and AC Milan. He has also covered three major European leagues during this period. While a potential move to the Premier league has been an ever present rumour, there are suggestions that Bayern Munich could come in for the striker. Robert Lewandowski is the recognised forward at the Allianz Arena. Even though Bayern Munich are coached by Guardiola – with whom Ibrahimovic have had a major fallout, the forward has confirmed that he would be open to the German club.

“Sure, the Bundesliga would appeal to me. One day, it may happen. I still have a bit of time [in my career].Clearly, if I go to Germany, then I’ll go to Bayern Munich. For me, they are one of the five best clubs in the world,” said Ibrahimovic. He has been quite public about his criticism of Guardiola. He said: “[Jose Mourinho is] the exact opposite of Pep Guardiola. If Mourinho lights up a room, Guardiola draws the curtains. I guessed that Guardiola was trying to match up to him. Mourinho would become a guy I was basically willing to die for.”
