AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has claimed that while a lot of people have kept asking him when he will retire, he is only focused on trying to start next season the best possible way that he can so that he can try to help the club fight for titles both domestically and in Europe.

The towering veteran striker is 39 and while many have expected him to have hung his boots, he says he still has what it takes to play at a high level and is not even thinking of retiring now. The former Manchester United striker came out of international retirement recently to represent his country Sweden at the 2020 Euros but was unfortunately unable to help them after sustaining an injury that ruled him out.

However, he says that he has recovered from the injury and is raring to go now. There were rumors that he was nearing retirement and the injury he sustained some months ago was a sign that he is no longer fit to perform at the highest level, but he has quashed those reports and Insists that he is not even done with AC Milan yet.

Zlatan scored a couple of goals for the Italian Serie A giants last season and was their main striker as he helped them to narrowly secure Champions League football ahead of the 2021-22 season. Milan have reportedly moved to complete the signing of French striker Olivier Giroud from Chelsea this summer on a two-year deal and the 34-year-old and he is set to take the attacking burden off Ibrahimovic as they look to mount s serious title challenge next season.

Milan are still targeting a couple of players this summer after signing Giroud and they could add one or two more players before the summer transfer window closes in the next weeks.
